- What is your name, title and responsibilities at Blue Trading Systems?
- My name is Rachel Sutton. I'm a Certified Public Accountant and I assist Sue in the 'back office' with the accounting, monthly reporting, and compliance filings.
- How did you get into this field of derivatives trading? Trader or technologist?
- Neither- though I find the field to be very interesting! I contract with several companies to provide accounting and consulting services and BTS is by far the most intriguing. From the complex nature of the derivatives markets to trying to decipher the whiteboards as I walk through the office, working with BTS has certainly given me a new perspective on how I view numbers.
- From your perspective, can you describe the relationship between BTS and its clients?
- BTS works to continually provide exceptional service to its clients. Someone is always available and responsive to any client questions, concerns, or issues as they arise. BTS has an excellent team that really cares about the product it delivers and the clients that use it- and it shows! From support calls to communication efforts to product enhancements, BTS aims to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- How has BTS evolved since you started at the company?
- I haven't been around long - only about 8 months. But even in that short time, BTS has been working to develop new products to meet the needs of traders. BTS started as an options trading platform and it’s been great to see the evolution to help futures traders too. I'm really excited for the launch of BTS Spark!
- What is your favorite piece of advice regarding trading, technology, the markets, leadership?
- “Life is an ongoing process of choosing between safety (out of fear and need for defense) and risk (for the sake of progress and growth). Make the growth choice a dozen times a day.” ― Abraham H. Maslow
- If you had to pick, what animal would you be and why?
- A unicorn - because who doesn't want a bit of magic in their life! =)
